Passionate about PR, Karen started her public relations consulting practice to offer her skills to clients in the Bay Area and beyond. Over the years, Karen has created many unique press programs and community events to attract attention for clients from coast to coast, which has led to a stream of PR successes and lots of ink. Clients continue turning to Karen Monroe PR as the trusted expert they can rely on to deliver results on everything from writing press releases and website content to developing new product launches and partnering with charitable organizations. Karen holds a degree in journalism and marketing from California State University Long Beach, and was a beat reporter and magazine editor in her early career. She lives in San Francisco with her family and enjoys marathon running in her free time - she has run 43 marathons so far, includng five Boston's. Karen has been involved with various nonprofits, including SF EARN and St. John's Educational Thresholds Center, arts and environmental organizations, and launched fundraising efforts for leukemia, melanoma and asthma research.
